I've been reading a ton lately and one thing I consistently see is that walking is good for the mom-to-be and the baby. In fact, because of the increased blood flow, many studies show that the benefits result in less weight gain for the mom and enhancement of the growth and development for the baby. So it's no surprise that I've been trying to get my walk in every day. Today I went walking during my lunch break. It was about 80 degrees and sunny and you can see the kids at Millennium Park were enjoying the beautiful day.

Telling Co-Workers

I have started telling my co-workers about the baby. Since I work at an interactive place I thought a blog would be appropriate. I'm not sure what the best way is to tell people so here goes... I'm pregnant and the baby is due October 30.
Our co-worker Katie is also pregnant and I believe she's 6 weeks further along than I am so I will be able to waddle the hallways with her in no time. I may have to add video one day to this blog. :o) Who will be next?!

Morning Sickness

My research shows that no one really knows what causes morning sickness, but what we do know is that it's not limited to just morning. In trying to figure out what would make it go away, because I get the urge to get sick most days at work, I read someplace that the smell of alcohol can make it go away. Lucky for me it works because so far I have gone through a full 12 oz bottle at my desk, have a travel size in my purse and another big bottle at home. This works! If you ever feel nauseous just squirt some hand sanitizer in your hand and inhale it. :o)
