Toes

Oh my goodness... I forgot to post about the baby I saw this week at the doctor's office. It was clearly a newborn and had the tiniest toes I have ever seen. I think the toes were each about the size of an eraser on a pencil. I looked at the baby in amazement and Jason said to me "what are you going to do with a little baby like that in a few weeks?" and I started laughing and said "I don't know!!!"

Dr Garvey

Jason and I went to see Dr. Garvey today. He's the OB/GYN we have been seeing. He looks very young in this photo and my guess it's the photo he's been using for years because he looks way more mature now and is much taller than he looks in this photo. I'd say he's about 6'2". He said things are progressing nicely and that the baby looks good and healthy. The even better news for me is that after he reviewed about an hour's worth of ultra sound photos, which we took before seeing him today, he believes the baby will be less than 8 pounds. Jason and I aren't little people so I have been afraid of a big baby.

I'm in Detroit this week for work so when I'm back in town later this week I will upload a few of the ultra sound photos.

Half Way!

We're half way there! Yeah!!! I'm very happy this is my last week of business travel this month and before vacation because standing on my feet for a good part of the day presenting and flying has really been painful. I'm getting Fred Flintstone ankles and a few of my mom friends tell me it's too soon for this. This last flight home it felt like the skin on my legs was going to rip open because my ankles/lower legs were so swollen. I have been drinking tons of water and will be sure to mention this to my doctor tomorrow. Hopefully he'll have some good advice.

Boston

This past week I spent in Boston on business. Of the dozens of times I've been there it's the first time I didn't have lobster while in town-- and I love lobster and it tastes better in Boston than just about any other place on the planet. Lobster is one of those foods that's not recommended eating while pregnant so I'll have to wait a few more months to have some.
