Do You Like Pineapple?

If you like pineapple then you will love this new gadget. I'm not sure what the gadget is called but we bought it at one of our favorite stores, Williams-Sonoma. It's $25 and worth every penny! This thing makes cutting a pineapple as easing as twisting the top off a bottle. I didn't think it couldn't be that easy but we are believers. Jason and I have both used it and it works just as easy as it looks in the video. You can watch the video here...

Fort Wayne, Indiana

It's been a few days since my last post and it's because I have been on a business trip. I was in Fort Wayne, Indiana with my colleagues Christine and Sam. We had a very fun trip and got to know each other better after spending about 8 hours in a car and the better part of two days.

One of the guys that works at our account is a first time dad. He works for a radio station and he and his wife had a baby girl last week and named her Lyric. We decided it was the right thing to bring him cute little girly clothing and this is one of the dresses we purchased. Margaret, another colleague of ours, and a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews, was kind enough to pose with the dress for a photo.

Evan's 1st Birthday

Today we went to Evan's 1st birthday party in Elmhurst.   Evan is the son of Eric and DeAnna Sherpan.  I know them because Eric and Jason grew up in the same neighborhood in Berwyn.   I loved seeing Evan digging in to his first birthday smash cupcake.   Look at those cute little fingers all full of frosting.... :o)

Saturday in the City

Jason and I spent most of yesterday together.  We woke up early and went to the spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago to get massages.   We also went out for breakfast, a favorite past time of ours, and then walked all around town running errands.   We walked passed these beautiful tulips and the old Water Tower.  In the distance  you can see a tall building with a NM on the very top.    The N stands for Northwestern and the M for Memorial.  The Northwestern Memorial Prentice Women's Hospital is rated in the top 20 US gynecology  programs in the America according to US NEWS & WORLD REPORT and is rated #1 in Illinois.    I'm excited because it has high speed Internet access, which means I can post baby pictures on the blog from the hospital.
