We landed in Italy at 2am CST and are now adjusting to the jet lag. Our flight was wonderful. We flew first class on Alitalia and loved that our seats converted to full beds. That and the service made the flight very enjoyable.
I had an interesting experience today with the nugget. When we landed we were able to check in early to the hotel and decided to take naps. By the time we woke up we were hungry and decided to go find a local eatery for lunch. Unfortunately, the one in the hotel was already closed. All of a sudden I felt a kick. I had felt them before but nothing like this. The nugget must have been really hungry because the longer it took us to find food the stronger and more frequent the kicks. Someone was clearly hungry. As soon as I ate the kicks stopped.
I haven't taken any photos yet but hope to get some up in the next day or two.
Ciao!

BABY MOON
I'll be on vacation until July 26. This will be the last grand vacation for us before the baby. We will not be bringing a laptop on the trip so I'll be limited to finding Internet Cafes in Italy. My goal is to post LOTS of photos as often as possible. Stay tuned.

Baby Names
We haven't officially landed on a name yet but found it interesting that the name Barack is so popular. We learned that "Barack, did not make this year’s top 1,000 boy’s list, but it did set what is believed to be a record by skyrocketing more than 10,000 spots in rising from number 12,535 in 2007 to 2,409 in 2008. Social Security’s sophisticated predictive models are forecasting an increase well into the top 1,000 for Barack for 2009."
If you have any great ideas for baby names please email Jason or me.

Pea in the Podcast

We'll be in Italy soon and on the long plane ride I plan to catch up on some of the podcasts that I've missed. I found this podcast early on and liked listening to it but I haven't had a chance in the last couple of weeks to tune in.
You can learn more about Pea in the Podcast at their website at the link here.

Family Tree

With our growing family we will soon need to make an entry into the GENI website. Geni.com is a free website service that allows families to build a family tree. It's a private site so only family members can be invited to participate and post content in the site. This website has won many awards including TIME's 50 Best Websites of 2008. If you don't currently have a family tree check it out and share the site with your family. It's fun to watch the family tree grow.
Neti Pot

I have been fighting a soar throat and decided to go to the doctor to see if there was something I could take. She did give me a prescription but also suggested I wait a couple of days and try using a Neti Pot first, which did end up working for me. If you haven't heard of this it has been around for years. It looks like a geni's lantern made of white ceramic. I remember seeing Dr. Oz introduce the Neti on the Oprah show. You can see a video demo of how the Neti Pot works by clicking the link below from You Tube. Essentially you end up pouring a warm salt water solution into one nostril and it comes out the other nostril, cleaning out all the gunk in your head. Neti Pots sell for about $10 and you can find them at Whole Foods and some drug stores.
