Most of you know I have very thick hair which means that when I go to get my hair colored at a salon I have to pay extra. The good news is that I have a money saving tip for salon treatments. Try the Paul Mitchell School in Chicago (or any other city) and you can save big money by getting a student to do your hair. Prices are very reasonable and they do a great job. Hair cuts and style start at $12 and color and highlights start at $27. I have been going to this place since last fall when they opened a location down the block from our place. Be sure to splurge for a more experienced student (ususally about $5 extra) because they work much faster than a brand new student. Also, I don't recommend going for two services on the same day, such as color and cut, because this can take longer than you might like.
