At our baby shower last night Sandra Madison, my friend and colleague since the days when we worked together at Chicago's B96, graced us with a custom card from her Lollipop Productions. She wrote and designed the card and I thought it was so clever that I had to share it with the world. Thanks Sandra!
In the land Goobooville, the town gathered 'round.
The Gooboos were buzzing— a nugget was found!
“A globule of gold?” “A droplet of dingled?”
“Ploplets and nodles of gobtops commingled?!”
“No!” said a voice, “I'm not a nugget!”
“Oooh!” squealed the Gooboos, “a talking Pluff-tugget!”
“No!” said the voice, “I'm a Gooboo like you...and I'm looking for parents— preferably two!”
“A baby Gooboo? But we've never seen a nugget-like Gooboo not shaped like a bean!”
Clearly this nugget was special indeed, more precious than gold or plinkets of tweeds.
Everyone wanted to parent the nugget. “We promise to feed it, and burp it and hug it!”
“No!” said the voice— “I'm sure you'd all do, but I have decided to choose you and you!”
The townspeople gasped and looked at each other. “Who is the lucky father and mother?”
Then Letty and Jason emerged from the crowd. “Are we ready for this?”, they wondered aloud.
“How many diapers does a nugget go through? And what do we do if it gets the flu?”
“Yes!” said the voice— “You'll be the best! That's why I chose you above all the rest!”
The nugget then smiled and said gleefully, “There are no other parents I want for me!”
So Letty and Jason's dream did come true— they became the proud parents of a baby Gooboo!
And fortunately, they'd heard it tweeted on Twitter that the Cat in the Hat is a wonderful sitter!
The townspeople cheered, for the nugget was right, and a new family was formed on that very night, with Letty and Jason and the goobooly ball that looked like a nugget but wasn't at all.
That's brilliant!!! Love it!
